lunar-ring-outdoor-wall-light
Lunar Ring Outdoor Wall Light – Black Aluminium, Ø 35 to 80cm

A disc of light for contemporary facades

This wall light takes the form of a flat ring in black aluminium, its light escaping through the rim and settling on the wall as a circular halo. The geometry cuts against the linear bars that dominate outdoor lighting: it reads as an object, switched off in broad daylight included. Three diameters are available, from 35cm to 80cm (14" to 31.5"), which takes it from a discreet marker to a piece that structures a whole facade. The IP65 rating (weatherproof — sealed against dust and water jets) allows unsheltered mounting.

Key features

Material and finish: black aluminium, corrosion-resistant and suited to permanent exposure.

Light quality and spread: the light leaves through the rim of the ring and forms a circular halo on the wall.

Installation and compatibility: integrated LED, wall fixing, wired into the mains supply.

Dimensions and scale: three diameters, Ø 35, 60 and 80cm (14", 23.5" and 31.5"), from a discreet marker to a structuring piece.

Weatherproofing: IP65 rating, sealed against dust and splashing water.

Technical specification

Fitting type

Outdoor wall light

Material(s)

Aluminium

Finish / Colour

Black

Dimensions (Ø × H in cm)

Ø 35, 60 or 80 (14", 23.5" or 31.5")

Weight

Not specified

Cap / Bulb type

Integrated LED

Max. wattage

Not specified

Bulb included

Yes

Dimmable

Not specified

Colour temperature

Not specified

Cable length / adjustable drop

Not specified

IP rating

IP65 (weatherproof)

Voltage

Not specified

Mounting type

Wall-mounted, hardwired

Care and cleaning

Not specified

Luminous flux (lm)

Not specified

Energy class

Not specified

Colour rendering index (CRI)

Not specified

Installing it in the UK

This light is wired into a mains circuit, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The work must comply with BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations) and with Part P of the Building Regulations, and any outdoor circuit should be protected by an RCD. Isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before starting, and check that every gland and seal is closed properly once the fitting is in place.

Where to install it

Facade: the Ø 80cm (31.5") becomes the main event on a bare wall and reads from a distance, even switched off. Allow a wall area at least three times the diameter so the shape has room to breathe. Set the centre between 1.8m and 2.2m (71" and 87") above the ground, depending on the height of the wall. This model does not take repetition well: on its own it works as a piece, lined up in a row it turns into an industrial motif. Matt black stands out against pale render and disappears into dark cladding.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0674/7324/4368/files/Applique_Murale_Lunaire__Aluminium_Noir__Etancheite_IP65__Culot_LED__O_34_8_a_80_cm_0.jpg?v=1787400210
