These terms and conditions of sale govern the sale of goods through lumiris.co.uk. Please read them before placing an order: by completing an order you confirm that you accept them. We recommend that you save or print a copy for your records. These terms can be read in full at any time, without creating an account and without logging in.
The site is operated by AKYT LTD, trading as Lumiris, a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales under company number 17022802, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. AKYT LTD has a share capital of £100 and is directed by Arthur Yamga Tientcheu, Director. You can reach us at contact@lumiris.co.uk or on +44 7470 409015, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, excluding bank holidays.
Our sole activity on this site is the retail sale of decorative lighting for consumers in the United Kingdom: wall lights, pendant lights and outdoor lighting.
To place an order you must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into a binding contract, and resident at a delivery address in the United Kingdom. By ordering, you confirm that this is the case and that the information you give us is accurate and complete.
Our shop is aimed at consumers buying for personal use. If you are buying in the course of a business, the consumer protections described in these terms do not apply to you and clause 18 applies instead. For project, specification and trade enquiries, please use our Trade page: quotations are issued within 48 working hours.
Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a concluded contract.
If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you by email and refund any sum already taken, in full and without delay. This can happen where an item is out of stock, where we cannot deliver to your address, where a pricing or description error has occurred, or where a payment or fraud check has failed.
We take care to describe our lighting accurately, including dimensions, materials, finishes, cable and chain lengths, IP ratings, lamp fittings and the type of light source.
Photographs, videos and room settings are for illustration. Screens and screen settings vary, so the colour, finish, tone and light output of a fitting can look different in your own home. Small variations are normal.
Natural materials vary by nature. Our alabaster, travertine and marble pieces are cut from natural stone, so veining, shading, translucency and texture differ from one piece to the next. Two lights of the same model can show visible differences in pattern and tone. These variations are a defining characteristic of natural stone, not a defect, and they are not grounds for a claim under our guarantee. The same applies to the small irregularities found in hand-finished glass, brass, ceramic, wood and rattan.
Unless the product page states otherwise, bulbs are not supplied, and dimmers, transformers, drivers and mounting accessories beyond those listed in the description are not included. Where a fitting has an integrated LED, the light source is built in and cannot be replaced separately.
Stock levels shown on the site are indicative and can change while you are shopping, because the same item may be bought by someone else at the same moment. Displaying a product does not guarantee its availability.
If an item becomes unavailable after your order, we contact you promptly and offer you the choice between an alternative product, a partial dispatch of the rest of your order, a later delivery date, or a full refund of the affected item.
This section sets out exactly what you pay, when you pay it and how. There are no hidden charges of any kind.
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which are: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. The methods available to you may vary slightly according to your device and browser.
Lumiris sells goods on a one-off basis only. There is no subscription, no membership, no recurring payment, no automatic renewal and no paid trial. You are charged once for each order you place, and we never store a payment method in order to charge it again automatically.
Taking payment does not by itself mean that we have accepted your order. As explained in clause 4, the contract is formed when we send you the dispatch confirmation email, not when we send the order acknowledgement. If we cannot fulfil your order after payment, we refund you in full.
An invoice or receipt showing the items bought, the total paid, the payment method and the delivery address is sent to you by email with your order confirmation. Trade customers who need an invoice for their records can request one at any time by emailing us with their order number. A further copy is available on request from contact@lumiris.co.uk. We keep transaction records for six years, as required by UK accounting and tax law.
We take reasonable care to make sure that prices and descriptions on the site are correct. Errors can still occur.
If we discover an obvious error in the price or description of goods you have ordered, we contact you before dispatch to ask whether you wish to continue at the correct price or cancel the order. Where a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could reasonably have been recognised by you as an error, we are not obliged to supply the goods at the incorrect price.
From time to time we offer discount codes, such as WELCOME2026, which gives 10% off a first order. Unless the offer states otherwise, the following rules apply:
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours on working days and typically arrive within 6 to 8 working days of dispatch, which means a usual total of 7 to 10 working days. Deliveries are made by Royal Mail, Evri or DPD, and you receive a tracking number by email. Please allow two to four additional working days for the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands.
Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend. Delivery times are estimates given in good faith. If we cannot deliver within 30 days of the contract, or within any longer period we have agreed with you, you may treat the contract as at an end and receive a full refund.
Full details are set out in our Delivery Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Goods are at our risk until they are delivered to the address you gave us, or to a person you nominated to take possession of them. Risk passes to you at the moment of delivery. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full and the goods have been delivered, whichever is later.
As a consumer buying at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, referred to here as the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This right exists independently of our commercial returns policy described in clause 13.
The statutory right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your own specification or clearly personalised.
In addition to your statutory right to cancel, we accept returns for change of mind, also known as buyer's remorse, within 14 days of receipt. Returns are free: we issue a prepaid Royal Mail, Evri or DPD label and there is no restocking fee. Goods must be unused, complete and in their original packaging. We refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, to your original payment method; your bank may take a further three to five working days to show the money.
Full conditions, exclusions and the step-by-step procedure are set out in our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
If goods arrive damaged, are not what you ordered or develop a fault, email contact@lumiris.co.uk with your order number and photographs. Do not install a light that appears damaged. We reply within 8 to 24 hours by email, Monday to Friday, and arrange a repair, a replacement or a refund at no cost to you, including return postage.
In addition to your statutory rights, every Lumiris light carries a two-year commercial guarantee against manufacturing defects, running from the date of delivery and covering repair, replacement or refund at our option. The guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, bulbs, the natural variations of stone and hand-finished materials described in clause 5, damage caused by misuse, accident, unsuitable use or incorrect installation, or products that have been modified. It is offered in addition to your legal rights and does not replace them.
Our lighting is supplied for installation on a 230V mains supply in the United Kingdom and meets the applicable UK product safety requirements.
Nothing on our site is intended as electrical, technical or professional advice. We are not responsible for damage, loss or injury caused by incorrect installation, by installation carried out by someone who is not a qualified electrician, or by use that does not follow the product instructions and the IP rating.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their purpose and as described. If they are not:
These rights are additional to our commercial guarantee and to our returns policy. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes them.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if at the time the contract was made both you and we knew it might happen.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for loss caused by an event outside our reasonable control as described in clause 19, or for loss arising from installation that does not comply with clause 15.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by sections 9 to 11 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under English law.
We supply goods for domestic and private use. If you use them for any commercial or business purpose, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Where you buy as a business, all warranties, conditions and terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the consumer rights described in clauses 12, 13 and 16 do not apply. Subject to the exclusions in clause 17, our total liability to a business customer in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for the goods concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, fire, flood, epidemic, strike or industrial action, failure of public or private telecommunications networks, carrier disruption, or acts of government. We will contact you as soon as possible and the delivery period will be extended accordingly. If the delay is substantial, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.
All content on lumiris.co.uk, including the Lumiris name and logo, text, product descriptions, photographs, videos, graphics, page layout and code, is owned by or licensed to AKYT LTD and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, scrape or exploit any part of the site commercially without our prior written consent.
You can order as a guest or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out through it. Tell us immediately at contact@lumiris.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently or abusively, or in breach of these terms. Further rules on using the site are set out in our Terms of Use.
Where we publish customer reviews, they come from real customers and are published without payment or inducement. By submitting a review or a photograph, you confirm that it is your own and honest, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to publish it.
When you order from us, you consent to receive the service emails we need to send about that order: acknowledgement, dispatch confirmation, delivery updates, returns and refunds. These are not marketing messages and cannot be unsubscribed from while an order is in progress. Marketing emails are sent only where you have subscribed, and every one of them carries an unsubscribe link. We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
If something goes wrong, email contact@lumiris.co.uk or call us on +44 7470 409015, with your order number and a description of the problem. Our customer service team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, excluding bank holidays.
If we cannot resolve a dispute between us, you keep the right to bring court proceedings as set out in clause 25, and you can obtain free independent advice from Citizens Advice.
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, including non-contractual disputes or claims, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the law of England and Wales. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland, and if you live in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
We may amend these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law, in our products or in how we operate. The version published on the site at the moment you place your order is the version that applies to that order, so a change never affects an order already accepted. We recommend saving a copy of the terms with your order confirmation.
These terms, together with our Delivery Policy, our Refund & Returns Policy, our Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use and the order confirmation we send you, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your order and replace any previous agreement, understanding or statement between us on the same subject. Nothing in this clause limits your rights in respect of anything we have told you fraudulently.
