Its integrated LED lights the stone from within and gives out a soft, glare-free glow that reveals the natural veining. Dimmer compatible, it lets you set the output to the time of day. Bedroom: as a bedside wall light, the block of stone replaces the table lamp and dims down at the end of the evening.
Hallway: its straight form follows the perspective and gives a soft orienting light without crowding the passage.
Living room: near a reading chair or a bookcase, it adds a low stratum of light to the main ceiling fitting.
The size of Alabastrine is chosen to suit the wall: 30cm (12") for a bedside or a narrow hallway, 45cm (17.5") for a living room wall or a staircase. Fix the wall light at eye level, with the block centred on the area to be lit. On its own it marks a point along the way; in a pair it frames a bed or a mirror; lined up in threes it gives rhythm to a long perspective. Its filtered glow reads as ambient lighting, to be completed by a central pendant or directional lamps for specific tasks. The white stone answers mineral renders, pale marbles and blond woods; against a dark wall, the lit block stands out like a lantern.
