The height chosen defines the role of Cristaline: 22cm (8.5") to punctuate the wall above a cabinet, 70cm (27.5") to hold an entire stretch of wall. The fitting is fixed so that the crystal sits at eye level, where its facets catch the light best. On its own, it marks out a mirror or a picture; as a symmetrical pair, it frames a sofa, a headboard or a console table. Its adjustable intensity lets it work alongside the ceiling light at the start of the evening, then stay on as the single source of a softened light.
