The integrated LED lights the material from within: the textile softens the source and diffuses an enveloping light, with no glare. The regular pleats give the volume a sculptural silhouette, present even when it is off. Three diameters, 40, 50 or 60cm (15.5", 19.5" or 23.5"), suit the table or the room; the temperature is chosen in warm white, cool white or tri-colour. Above a dining table or at the centre of a living room, it sets a hushed atmosphere. Its whiteness sits well with pale interiors and blond woods.
The tri-colour version lets you change the colour temperature of the fitting after installation, without replacing anything. You switch between three moods: warm white (3000K), a yellow light that relaxes, for a living room or a bedroom; neutral white (4000K), balanced, for a dual-purpose room; cool white (6000K), crisp and legible, for a kitchen or a home office.
In practice, the same room can move from task lighting during the day to ambient light in the evening. Fixed-temperature versions do not allow this: the choice is final at purchase.

The diameter is chosen to the scale of the space: 40cm (15.5") above a bedside table or in a reading corner, 50cm (19.5") for a round table, 60cm (23.5") at the centre of a living room. It is positioned so that the textile volume stays above the line of sight, clear of the circulation. On its own, it is enough for a room; in a run of two or three different diameters, it composes a graded fall of light. It works alongside pinpoint sources, a reading light or a table lamp, which add the contrast its diffuse light does not look for. Matt white converses with blond woods, linen and pale stone; it leaves the pleats of the fabric as the only ornament.
